The tubes running along with the windshield and making up the windshield washer system are several feet long and are directly connected to the windshield washer reservoir. These tubes are exposed to debris coming from the outside, and over time they can get clogged and can be rendered unfunctional. The dust and debris from the outside keeps accumulating in these tubes, and they get dirty and stops performing.
The plastic nozzles are located right at the end of the tube and are mostly found at the hood but can be near or in the middle of the hood. These nozzles sprays the windshield cleaning solution at different levels of your car’s speed. If not, the windshield can get dirty, compromising the view of the driver. So, cleaning these nozzles or jets is imperative for the whole system to work smoothly.
Clean windshield and jets allow the driver to clean any debris or dust at the screen impairing the vision. Sometimes other components of the washer system might be compromised, making you think the jets are dirty, but a thorough inspection will reveal the cause, and those parts may also need cleaning.
The material needed and the process to clean the windshields is as follows:
Step 1: Determine which nozzle is clogged
Step 2: Clean the nozzle
Step 3: Test the Nozzle
