Fuel Injector Replacement

What is Fuel Injector’s Functionality in the Car?

A fuel injector function to meter the fuel also works to spray the atomized droplets of fuel in a specific pattern into the intake manifold found inside the engine or into the combustion chamber directly. The injector consists of a solenoid and a valve inside. The solenoid’s operations or the pulsing movement is being controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The powertrain control module controls the time when the solenoid has to be turned on in order to optimize the ratio of air and the fuel in the system while the engine starts and the operating conditions keep changing constantly.

Fuel injectors are usually attached to a fuel rail found on the top of the engine, and the fuel rail is given fuel under pressure from the fuel pump found in the fuel tank. Any of the components, if malfunctioned, can cause severe damage to the engine and can cause lag in the running of the car.
