The P0001 code indicates a problem with the electrical circuit that connects to your fuel pressure regulator. It may also be related to other codes, such as: P0002, P0003 or P0004.
P0001 is generic OBD-II code indicating a problem with the fuel pressure regulator circuit of the fuel injection rail on the engine. The ECM controls and regulates fuel pressure from your fuel pump to engine through this circuit. When a fault arises in the circuit, it will alert ecu and a Check Engine Light is set on which can cause poor fuel economy and can possibly damage the engine.
There are several causes of fuel volume regulator failure:
The P0001 code will generate a Check Engine Light on the dashboard / dash and will likely affect:
The most common possible repairs to fix the P0001 code are as follows:
Also diagnose the problem with the devices mentioned above (diagnostic tester, voltmeter). Sensor signals should be analyzed to determine where the problem is. If the signals are OK, we should go to the wiring or the computer. Replace the defective component, wiring or ECM (requires programming).
